BLOGGER TEMPLATES AND TWITTER BACKGROUNDS

I had a little more time and now that I know how this works, I can add to it. I wanted to start with our awesome summer in Alaska. I took hundreds of photos, so I will just add the best ones and try to spare you having to look at them all. We had a great time. All except for the part when Bruce broke his legs. The kids loved it and I didn't even mind the rain. I didn't care for the bugs, but once our cabin is done, those won't be too bad either. It's when you can't get away from them that they are a bother. The bears are always a concern and I saw 7 while I was there. Only one was near the house we were staying at. Most of them were cubs and I saw them running across the highway.

Bruce went up a few days after Easter and the kids and I joined him on May 23rd. So, he was gone for 6 1/2 weeks before we got to see him again. Deshka was only 4 weeks old when he left and she was 2 1/2 months old when he saw her again.

Bruce had a great time fishing and we all had a really great time Halibut fishing. I even baited my own hooks and caught two that were about 22 lbs each. I don't have any pictures from them, but I will have to get some from the others that were there.

Our cabin is coming along. It is located on Eyak Lake about 5 miles outside of Cordova, Alaska. We built it in our log yard in Salmon and then put it in a container and shipped it up to Cordova. We plan on spending the summers up there fishing and enjoying life with our family.

Olivia looks just like you in the picture where she is cheesing it up! And I think Deshka looks like Olivia as a baby. Cute, cute, cute!
