Cody, who turned 12 this summer, was able to come visit for Christmas Break. The other kids just love it when their big brother can come for awhile.
We spent the holidays mostly here in Dubois. Cody and I went to Ogden for 2 days for our Youth Temple Trip for our church. We opened presents on Christmas and took the kids sledding. On New Year's we went to Riverton to a dance for the whole family and then to Ron and Bonnie Titterington's to play a few games.
We are planning on going to Cordova, Alaska again for the month of February to work on our house. We will get the heat on and frame some walls and get some cabinets in. Bruce will be up there again in March go Halibut fishing and then again in April/May to start his regular fishing again. His injuries from this summer are healing pretty well. The doctor told us yesterday that he will probably have to go back in the fall to have the plate and screws removed because they seem to be rubbing on a tendon and causing some difficutlies.
The kids and I went and got our passports ordered the other day. Bruce got his last year because he drove up to Alaska last spring. Now, we can fly our own plane or drive through Canada to get to Alaska. I think we will actually fly commercially up there the end of January and then drive his truck back down the end of the month. Then, when he heads up in March or April, he will load up a bunch of stuff and drive back up.
I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday season. The days are getting longer and it won't be long until spring. Yeah!
