After church on Sunday, we decided to go out the road for a picnic. We went to the Alaganik Slough, which is a wetland/wildlife viewing area about 20 miles out of town. We didn't see much wildlife (a few ducks, swans and geese.) But, it was such a nice day that we let the kids play in the river for a while. We also cooked hotdogs and the kids picked Dandelions. Being up in Alaska has allowed us more time to spend with the kids and as a family. And, when it's sunny, there's no better place on earth!
