Sunday Picnic

After church on Sunday, we decided to go out the road for a picnic. We went to the Alaganik Slough, which is a wetland/wildlife viewing area about 20 miles out of town. We didn't see much wildlife (a few ducks, swans and geese.) But, it was such a nice day that we let the kids play in the river for a while. We also cooked hotdogs and the kids picked Dandelions. Being up in Alaska has allowed us more time to spend with the kids and as a family. And, when it's sunny, there's no better place on earth!
I'm not sure if this was an expression of how cold the water was, or what (it was really cold though). The kids don't seem to notice. And, Cheyenne, had a blast too.
" Bless the little children, that they may walk in righteousness"

They are always eager to have a group picture. The key is to get them to all look at the same time and not make funny faces. I haven't quite mastered that yet.
